Elliot Corner

Elliot has been playing Violin since the age of 5, but switched to Viola 4 months ago for a number of reasons and he has come to love it more than anything else! Elliot is also a composer, having discovered a passion for it last year and since then he has gained a Publishing Contract with OLC Barcelona Music for his compositions, and has written a number of works- including a Piano concerto, Preludes for both Piano and Solo Viola, and commissions for a theatre company in Brighton.

Elliot is currently attending the Royal College of Music Junior Department (studying Viola with Sarah-Jane Bradley), and aspires to continue his studies in Music Performance there after he leaves Christ's Hospital, majoring in Viola and undertaking a second study in Composition.'

Piano Prelude No.9 in C Minor: 'Chopin'

(Op.3 No.9)

Piano Prelude No.9 in C Minor is the 9th Piano Prelude out of a series of 10 written by Elliot Corner.

The score is available here - please download it and support the work of an original composer if you enjoyed the piece!

The Prelude No.9 is an adagio, a reflective theme in the bass underneath incessant quavers in the Right hand.

It was written for Linda Bhattacharya (Elliot Corner's first Piano Teacher) as a way of expressing his gratitude for all that she has done for him, as it's unlikely he'd be where he is without her today.
